1. Introduction
These terms and conditions govern your use of services provided by Utopia Hair Artistry & Beauty (ABN 72 712 550 901), located at Shop 4, 171 Elizabeth Bay Drive, Lake Munmorah NSW 2259 (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking an appointment or using our services, you agree to these terms.
2. Appointments & Bookings
Appointments can be made by phone on (02) 4358 8800 or via the contact form on our website. Bookings are confirmed upon our acknowledgement. We reserve the right to decline or reschedule appointments at our discretion.
Please arrive on time for your appointment. We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals, however services may need to be modified or rescheduled if your lateness impacts subsequent bookings.
3. Cancellations & No-Shows
We kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. This allows us to offer the time to another client.
Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in a deposit being required for future bookings, or refusal of future appointments.
4. Patch Testing
A patch test is required at least 48 hours prior to any chemical colour service (including tinting, bleaching, and perming) for new clients, or existing clients who have not had a colour service with us in the past 12 months, or who have experienced a change in health or medication.
We reserve the right to refuse chemical services if a patch test has not been carried out or if a reaction is observed. We accept no liability for adverse reactions where a patch test was declined or not completed within the required timeframe.
5. Pricing
All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST. Prices are subject to change without notice. A quote provided at consultation is an estimate only; final pricing may vary depending on the time and products required to achieve the desired result.
6. Payment
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and cash. We do not accept personal cheques. Deposits may be required for certain services or group bookings at our discretion.
7. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.
8. Liability
We take all reasonable care in providing our services. However, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the use of our services except where liability cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
Clients are responsible for disclosing any relevant medical conditions, allergies, sensitivities, or medications prior to receiving services. We will not be held liable for adverse outcomes resulting from undisclosed information.
9. Personal Property
We take no responsibility for the loss or damage to personal property brought onto our premises.
10. Complaints

11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
